Having worked at nine design studios across both Australia and New Zealand, I have learnt from some of the best developing my strategic thinking and honing my design skills.

This experience has sparked my passion for more strategy-led design and work that comes to life through a brilliant mix of language and graphics.

Before starting HeyYou in May 2016, I was Design Director at Designworks Auckland . I worked there for four years as the design lead on Foodstuffs (New World and PAK'nSAVE), Anchor New Zealand, BrewGroup (formerly Bell Tea and Coffee Co.), Fletcher Construction and Auckland Hockey.

During my career I have also worked across Anchor Global, Air New Zealand, Telecom NZ (Spark), DB Breweries, Fonterra, Brand Australia, Westfield, ANZ, ASB and Auckland Transport, to name just a few. 

I have also helped out a number of smaller start-up companies in developing brand identities as this is a huge passion of mine.

A career highlight was winning a trip to New York to work with Michael Bierut and his team at Pentagram (December 2015). Michael is considered one of the world's best graphic designers and working alongside him and his team was a truly eye-opening experience. Click here for my winning entry.
